Anne Nguyen

Student Body President

Anne Nguyen actively participates in the performing arts and community service. She first became interested in performing in the fourth grade when she learned to play the violin and joined orchestra. From there, she also learned to play the guitar and flute while participating in choir and theater. She aided in the process of starting a humanitarian service club where she is currently the Vice President of. Together, they have gone on multiple group trips around the city to help in whatever way they can. Anne's biggest aspiration is to become a neurosurgeon.

Brinlee Burningham enjoys participating in the Performing Arts at AISU and in the community. Some of her greatest accomplishments have been breaking 9 bones in her lifetime of 16 years, sleeping for 16 hours straight, and spending endless amounts of time watching Netflix and Youtube.

I am a dedicated member of both Jazz Band and Advanced Orchestra and I have been playing the Trumpet for 9 years. I love to read and write and I like to go mountain biking and camping. I have attended AISU since it it first started in 2014. I have enjoyed the great benefits that this school has. My hopes are to become a professional trumpeter and write multiple books.

I am Obaid Barakzai, and I am the International SBO President. To share a little bit about me - I love to work with people from around the world, as I have grown up learning to speak 7 languages. I like to play chess, soccer, read, write and talk to people. Sometimes I like to confuse people too, but the goal isn't to make them confused but to make them laugh. I also like to create new words in different languages. On the other hand, my goal as a International President is to make the school a place where all the local and international students feel "home".

Katlin Allison has been part of the AISU dragon family since August 2015. This year, she is advising the high school student council in addition to teaching 10th-grade humanities. Katlin is excited to use her college student senate experience to lead the SBOs through what will surely be an amazing school year!
